A bittersweet goodbye: Cara and Rachel

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the departure of two of our longest standing, most dedicated instructors – Cara and Rachel. Both instructors will finish out their HB teaching career at the end of the month.

Cara has been with The Handle Bar since April 2014. She began as a rider, trained and became an instructor when the Fenway studio launched, and one year later she took on the title of Fenway studio manager. Cara is moving to Los Angeles to live with her long time boyfriend, Joe. Her positivity and infectious nature will make for an easy transition into her new home. Cara is certified to teach both spin and yoga… something tells us she’ll be making waves quickly in the LA fitness scene.

Rachel has been with The Handle Bar since February 2014. She has taught at all 3 studios, most recently moving to our Harvard Square location as one of the primary faces in our evening time slots.

Rachel will be missed for her challenging rides and wonderful sense of humor. She worked as store manager for Lululemon in Burlington for the past 3 years. She was recently presented an opportunity with Ivivva – Lulu’s children’s line – in Washington, DC. Rachel and her husband Mike are packing their bags and heading to the capital!

These ladies will forever remain a part of the HB Family. Their personalities are ones that define the HB brand and culture. Each will be sorely missed, and we wish nothing but success and smiles along their paths ahead.

Be sure to grab a bike in their classes over the coming weeks. You don’t find instructors like Cara and Rachel very often.

Have a safe and happy weekend – we’ll see you in the saddle!
